Why loose talk costs companies hard cash

Sprung a leak? You're not alone. Almost half of Irish firms have had a data breach in the past year, writes Adrian Weckler.

Some 43 per cent of Irish companies have experienced at least one data breach in the last 12 months, according to a major new survey commissioned by the Irish Computer Society.

According to the survey, conducted by Fresh Perspectives among IT professionals working for large Irish organisations, 16 per cent of Irish companies have experienced more than one data breach in the last year.
