Atlantic Philanthropies, founded by Chuck Feeney, is winding down operations having granted over $6 billion worldwide, with €1.25 billion invested in projects in Ireland over the past 30 years.

Atlantic Philanthropies is to finish its grantmaking at the end of 2016. In a statement on its website, the organisation confirmed that it is winding down after 30 years and over $6 billion granted around the world. The organisation will cease operations in 2020.
