White not backing down on under-6s contract Doctors ask about plans to protect young patients

If GPs expected minister Alex White to offer an olive branch or solution to the impasse between doctors and the government on the under-6s contract, they were mistaken.

White, who is the minister with responsibility for primary care, stood firm on the government's refusal to ''negotiate on fees at the Irish Medical Organisation's AGM yesterday, saying the government had received strong legal advice in relation to this from the Attorney General.
