If teenagers think that adults are cramping their social networking style, they jump ship to the next new thing, which may be why Facebook dug deep for WhatsApp, writes Fearghal O'Connor.

I t had been a communications revolution for the under-14 girls Gaelic team. No longer did the coaches need to send costly text messages for parents to ignore. The team had its very own Facebook group and every player was a member. No one would ever miss training again.
