If the economists are right, variable mortgage monthly repayments will increase by 0.25 per cent next month. How much will that mean in extra monthly repayments?

Variable rate mortgages are expected to rise by 0.25 per cent on December 1, with further increases of between 0.75 and 1 per cent over the next 12 months.
