Westlife’s number one hit used by CIA to torture prisoners

“Earsplitting noise” of boyband song was part of interrogation technique

The CIA used Westlife music as a torture instrument on a prisoner it was interrogating in Afghanistan, according to the American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit filed in Washington State.

The ACLU is taking an action on behalf of three former CIA prisoners against the men who designed the torture programme.

James Mitchell and John “Bruce” Jessen are the two psychologists who designed and implemented the CIA’s torture programme.
