A small software firm founded by Kerry businessman Brian McCarthy has been valued at €6.5 million after an investment by Western Union.

The global financial services firm has invested €2.5 million in Annadale Technologies and is understood to have taken a stake of close to 40 per cent in the firm.

McCarthy has a long-running relationship with Western Union, having attracted the firm as an investor in Fexco, the financial and business services firm he founded...
