RTE's managing director of radio, Clare Duignan, has said that echoes of recent editorial errors "would be heard for a long time" at the broadcaster.

She said that while criticism of RTE in the wake of the libellous Prime Time Investigates programme was deserved, most of the programming in RTE was of a very high standard.
