The Irish manufacturing sector continued to expand in September as exporters benefitted from the weaker euro, a new survey shows.

The Investec and Markit Economic purchasing managers index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector rose to 53.8 in September from 53.6 in August and comfortably above the 50 level that signals expansion, as new orders continued to rise.
