'We don't call them offshores any more'
A low-key briefing by a British firm about how to use offshore companies to protect investors and firms took place last week in a Dublin hotel. Dick O'Brien was there.
The queue was almost out the door. By the time everyone had filed in, nearly every seat was taken. More than 100 people had shown up at a Ballsbridge hotel for a briefing by a British financial advisory firm, Amanda J Molyneux & Company, that promised to inform them about the use of offshore companies to protect them from "current and potential attacks from creditors and court rulings".
