Instead of helping to secure pensions, the government’s ‘levy’ is a hindrance to much-needed pension reform, writes Charles Normand
The ‘pension levy’ is a pay cut, not a pension levy. But a true pension levy and a reform of pensions - public and private - would be a good idea. Reform of the system of funding pensions to provide secure income on retirement and take much of the risk off employees is affordable and doable.
