The late Barrie Cooke spent his life fascinated by water. He loved fishing, and some would say the best of his stand-out images are of fish. His portrait of a flatfish, Palometta, has paint dripping all over the canvas to magical effect. Immense in scale, it measures 185×185 centimetres and is expected to realise €20,000-€30,000 at de Veres this week.
