Water therapy that rocks and cradles
I’m a little apprehensive. I have just entered the dimly lit Watsu room at the Hodson Bay Spa near Athlone. My therapist is standing hip deep in a small pool with her arms outstretched.
Spa therapists are usually clad in white coats - she, on the other hand, is in a swimsuit. And so am I.
I lower myself into the waist deep, warm water pool. Watsu therapist Yvonne Ons places floats under my knees. Ons is the spa director and previously worked at the exclusive Sandy Lane resort in Barbados, where there is also Watsu pool.
