Watchdog carried out more than 7,000 investigations

The consumer watchdog, the Office of the Director of Consumer Affairs (ODCA), conducted more than 7,000 investigations into retailers and credit providers last year.

The consumer watchdog, the Office of the Director of Consumer Affairs (ODCA), conducted more than 7,000 investigations into retailers and credit providers last year.

Nearly one third of these investigations concerned unclear product pricing.

Under consumer law, products must be priced in a way that allows consumers easily to compare the price with those of other products.
