Warning over dementia timebomb' as society calls for more research funding

Dementia research funding should be on same footing as that of cancer and other major diseases, the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland has said.

The Health Research Board (HRB) told The Sunday Business Post it had committed Euro 2.2 million in active grants for dementia research, compared to €38.6 million to cancer research and €38 million to cardiovascular disease research.
