Ireland’s leading cinema operator is to take over six cinemas in Britain in a deal worth about €40 million.
The Ward Anderson family group, which owns the landmark Savoy and Screen cinemas in Dublin and which controls around half of the cinema market in the Republic, is buying the six cinemas from its British rival, Cineworld.
