VW to recall 2.4 million cars in Germany

The motor company has been ordered to recall the cars by Germany’s automotive watchdog

Germany’s automotive watchdog has ordered Volkswagen to recall 2.4 million cars in Germany as a result of the diesel emissions scandal.

It is understood the watchdog rejected VW’s proposal that car owners could voluntarily bring their cars in for repair.

The order comes as Italian police raided VW offices in Verona and Lamborghini offices in Bologna.
