Volunteer spirit drives Dublin City FM

Dublin City FM, which is 20 years on the air this month, continues to make significant inroads in the Dublin radio market -without straying from its service remit.

Dublin City FM, which is 20 years on the air this month, continues to make significant inroads in the Dublin radio market - without straying from its carefully-defined service remit.

The station, formerly Anna Livia, is manned by about 150 volunteers, ranging in age from 16 to 81.

"Our volunteers, like our listeners, run the full gamut," said chief executive Mick Hanley.
