Volkswagen reveals 80,000 Irish cars fitted with emission cheating software
Another 30,000 imports are also thought to be affected
Volkswagen has confirmed that a massive 79,348 Irish cars are fitted with software designed to cheat emissions tests.
The manufacturer revealed that 34,387 passenger cars - 16,484 Audis, 16,004 Skodas, 4,365 Seats, and 8,107 VW commercial vehicles - are affected.
The vehicles were sold through the firm’s authorised dealer network in Ireland.
