Vodafone signs deal with Spotify

Vodafone Ireland has announced an exclusive partnership with music streaming service Spotify.

The deal, which is initially for two years, will see Vodafone subsidise the premium version of Spotify for their bill-pay and pre-pay customers.

''We listened to our customers and content, specifically music, was important to a lot of people. We thought the combination of offering that on the go was spot on,'' said Marcel de Groot, consumer director with Vodafone Ireland.
