Vodafone Group led five winning bidders for faster fourth-generation mobile spectrum in Britain that raised £2.34 billion (€2.69 billion).

Vodafone will pay £790.8 million for the spectrum, British regulator Ofcom said in a statement today. In November, the Irish government raised €855 million from four operators in a similar sale.
