Vodafone invests €500k in reality TV marketing

Vodafone has invested €500,000 in a small business marketing initiative centred on The Mentor Revisited, a new series of the reality TV show which made its debut on RTE last year.

The deal takes the concept of corporate sponsorship of television to a new level. Vodafone is co-developer of the TV show with RTE and Tyrone Productions.

Alongside the normal sponsorship stings, it has been using the programme’s concept and its stars to run breakfast seminars for entrepreneurs.

The Mentor Revisited starts this week and features entrepreneur Jay Bourke and co-presenter Jeanne Bolger from Johnson & Johnson as they return to their business proteges...
