The main Irish subsidiary of US software firm VMware grew its revenues by 22 per cent to $2.4 billion (Euro 1.75 billion) last year.

VMware International reported that its profits for the year also rose. The company recorded an $8.6 million net profit in 2012, up from the $6.7 million profit it made in 2011. It closed the year with accumulated profits of $41.2 million. Shareholders' funds stood at $61.9 million.
