Vistatec boss aims for growth following ‘friendly’ MBO

Six months after leading a €12.6 million management buyout (MBO) of technology firm Vistatec, Thomas Murray is well settled in the role of chief executive.

Six months after leading a €12.6 million management buyout (MBO) of technology firm Vistatec, Thomas Murray is well settled in the role of chief executive.

Murray had been chief financial officer of the Dublin firm for about four years when he approached its founder and chief executive, Mervyn Dyke, about a buyout. Dyke owned 56 per cent of Vistatec, but “had expressed a wish to realise value'‘ from the firm, according to Murray.
