Visits to Ireland from overseas up by 10% from June to August

Visits to Ireland rose by nearly 10 per cent in the period from June to August to 2,484,000 compared to the same period a year earlier, the Central Statistics Office said.

Trips by North Americans increased by 18 per cent while the number of visitors from Britain rose by 3.5 per cent.
