Visitor numbers to Ireland increase 0.7%

The total number of trips to Ireland increased by 0.7 per cent to 1,817,300, an overall increase of 12,300 compared to the same period twelve months earlier.

The total number of trips to Ireland increased by 0.7 per cent to 1,817,300, an overall increase of 12,300 compared to the same period twelve months earlier, according to new statistics from the CSO.

For the six months to the end of June, 2,982,400 overseas visitors came to Ireland, compared to 2,983,800 in the same period of 2011.
