The Irish online video firm Sonru has secured new investment in the region of €1.5 million to fuel its expansion plans, the company confirmed last week.

The backers have not been named but are believed to include overseas investors.

The Enniscorthy, Co Wexford-based company said it is hiring 20 staff, and new board members representing the new investment will be added.
