VHI wins contract to provide healthcare to Google Irish employees

Quinn Healthcare, the private health insurance company formerly known as Bupa, has lost the lucrative contract to provide health cover to the Irish employees of US multinational Google.

Quinn Healthcare, the private health insurance company formerly known as Bupa, has lost the lucrative contract to provide health cover to the Irish employees of US multinational Google.

The internet search giant has opted to award the contract to the VHI, the state-backed health insurer. Google employs around 1,350 people in Ireland and has plans to expand further, making it one of the country’s largest employers.
