Mater Private Healthcare (MPH) has been unable to secure cover for customers with VHI health insurance for its proposed 75-bed hospital in Cork.

This newspaper understands that VHI management is opposed to providing cover for its customers at the hospital in Citygate, Mahon. Both Aviva and Quinn Healthcare have agreed to cover their customers for treatment at the hospital.
