VHI asks Europe to end probe of hospital owners’ complaint

The VHI has asked the European Commission to drop its investigation into a complaint against the health insurer by private hospital backers Jimmy Sheehan and John Flynn.

The VHI has asked the European Commission to drop its investigation into a complaint against the health insurer by private hospital backers Jimmy Sheehan and John Flynn.

The VHI wrote to the European competition directorate last month asking it to end the investigation, citing the body’s recent decision to drop a separate case that was taken by VHI rival Vivas Health (now Hibernian Health).
