Adam's first sale of the autumn season offers more than 600 lots of furniture, silver, paintings, porcelain and collectables, and leading the sale are several pieces of quality continental furniture displaying fine Dutch marquetry.

First practised in the Low Countries and Germany, marquetry is a technique in which a decorative veneer is applied to the carcass of furniture.
