A congestion charge for Dublin has been ruled out by transport minister Leo Varadkar.
The charge for Dublin city and the greater Dublin area had been envisaged in a new National Transport Authority (NTA) strategy.
But the minister recently met with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce to discuss the matter and his spokesman confirmed to The Sunday Business Post that such a charge was not now under consideration.
