Varadkar hopes new system will end roadwork chaos

The days of roads being dug up repeatedly by phone, electricity and broadband companies are set to be a thing of the past due to a new €2 million system known as Maproad.

The Department of Transport has paid for the upgraded road management system, which will contain the details of all roadworks plans.
