UTV Media: pretax profit drops 10% in 2012

UPDATE: Advertising revenue budgets in Ireland continued to be squeezed in the early months of 2013.

UTV Media's pretax profits fell nearly ten per cent to stg£21 million in 2012 from stg£23.3 million. The company said a slight increase in its radio operating profit was more than offset by a fall in television and new media.

Its revenue was stg£120.1 million for the 2012 business year, slightly below its 2011 revenue of stg£121.6 million.
