UTV goes for radio licence

Last week was the deadline for applications for the new Belfast FM radio licence.

Last week was the deadline for applications for the new Belfast FM radio licence.

Among those filing applications to regulator Ofcom was UTV, whose application was called U105.

Its concept was for a “personality-led station aimed primarily at the over-45 age group in Belfast and the surrounding area, providing topical speech and music from the gold era right through to the present day'‘.
