Picturesque and deeply moving, Gerard Dillon’s The Artist in the Country, from the UTV Art Collection, is expected to make €15,000-€20,000 at Adam’s this week. Referencing Dillon’s past, present and future, it was executed after his 1967 heart attack and before his death, as he predicted, aged 55 in 1971.
