Used car transactions up 19% on last year

More than 541,000 used cars changed hands during the first six months of 2014, an increase of 19 per cent on the same period in 2013, according to a new report by Carzone.ie.

More than 541,000 used cars changed hands during the first six months of 2014, an increase of 19 per cent on the same period in 2013, according to a new report by Carzone.ie.

The Volkswagen Golf remains the most searched for model, followed by the BMW 5 Series, BMW 3 Series, Ford Focus, Audi A4 and Volkswagen Passat, the report said.

The top two financial concerns for motorists are fuel costs and road tax.
