US investors eye up Panama

Located in Central America, Panama is experiencing interest from US buyers whose home market is currently undergoing something of a correction.

Well known US developers such as Donald Trump, have launched projects in Panama City and Irish developers, Ken and Tom Byrne, have also been attracted to the city.

Despite its location north of Ecuador and south of Nicaragua and Costa Rica, the country has a history of strong relations with the US dating back to the building of the Panama Canal which is currently undergoing anUS$8 billion expansion.
