US insurance group links up with Irish Credit Bureau

A giant US insurance group is poised to offer Irish consumers and businesses cheaper insurance if they have a good credit rating with the Irish Credit Bureau (ICB),according to industry sources.

A giant US insurance group is poised to offer Irish consumers and businesses cheaper insurance if they have a good credit rating with the Irish Credit Bureau (ICB),according to industry sources.

Travelers Insurance, the car and general insurance provider, confirmed this weekend that it had become a member of the ICB, the first insurance firm in the country to do so.

It did not comment on whether it would offer cheaper insurance to consumers...
