The Irish commercial property market is set for a massive influx of capital as two US investment heavyweights, Marathon Asset Management and Kennedy Wilson, are committing more money to the European market.

The Irish commercial property market is set for a massive influx of capital as two US investment heavyweights, Marathon Asset Management and Kennedy Wilson, are committing more money to the European market.

New York-based Marathon has committed more than $530 million to a new fund for investments in Ireland, Spain and Germany. Marathon, an $11 billion hedge fund, is looking for European distressed property investments as banks continue to offload unwanted assets.
