UPS stops cargo flights from Cork
International delivery firm UPS is to stop flying cargo from Cork Airport, writes Fachtna Kelly
The firm confirmed that, from Friday, ‘‘export volume from the Cork area will be flown out of UPS’s existing facilities at Shannon and Dublin airports’’.
‘‘All other day-to-day operations at UPS’s Cork package centre will continue as normal, and there are no redundancies planned,” said a spokesman for the cargo operator. A spokeswoman for the airport declined to comment on the loss of the UPS cargo business....
