UPC to broadcast new Oireachtas TV channel from today

Political junkies, or those on cable at least, can look forward to a constant fix of proceedings from Leinster House from today, courtesy of UPC's new Oireachtas TV channel.

Political junkies, or those on cable at least, can look forward to a constant fix of proceedings from Leinster House. From today, UPC will broadcast on a pilot basis a dedicated parliamentary channel called Oireachtas TV on digital channel 801.

Transmission will commence at 2.00 pm today, when it will air the sitting of Dáil Éireann live. The channel will also broadcast coverage of sessions of Seanad Éireann and sittings of the Oireachtas Committees will be...
