Saorview has approved two receiver boxes and a TV set that will enable Irish households to receive both Irish digital TV and free-to-air satellite channels.

Two hundred British and European free-to-air channels, including BBC, Channel 4, Bloomberg and Sky News, will be available subscription-free alongside Saorview channels when it launches in October.
