Union leaders have accused some employers of ‘‘tearing up the rule book’’ on industrial relations and warned that more industrial disputes and strikes are likely.

Several disputes are continuing across the country, and Christy McQuillan, national industrial officer at Siptu, said it was impossible to tell ‘‘where the next fire will be’’. The union is representing workers involved in disputes at companies including Coca-Cola, Marine Terminals at Dublin Port, Element Six...
