Unilever sales are lifted by ice cream in emerging market

The company’s Q3 turnover climbed over 9 per cent

Consumer goods group Unilever smashed estimations in the third quarter as its Latin American growth soared and better weather led to higher ice cream sales.

According to Nasdaq, the giant’s turnover increased by 9.4 per cent to €13.4 billion from €12.24 billion.

Underlying sales growth was 5.7 per cent, with volume up 4.1 per cent and price up 1.5 per cent.
