Uniform Construction sustains loss of €27.8m

Uniform Construction, which built the €75 million Southern Ring Road around Limerick city, made a loss of €27.8 million in 2003.

Uniform Construction, which built the €75 million Southern Ring Road around Limerick city, made a loss of €27.8 million in 2003.

The figure is contained in accounts just filed for the Whelan Group, the Co Clare building materials group which owns 50 per cent of Uniform.

The accounts were approved on February 24. Among the other major shareholders in Uniform are Dublin brothers Gerry and Tony Preston. Paddy and Christina Whelan own the Whelan Group.
