Pharmacy group Unicare has bought 11 pharmacies from the McSweeney group in a deal worth around €30 million.
The McSweeney group, which is a Dutch-Irish company, will continue to own and operate 20 pharmacies across the country.
The deal brings the number of Unicare pharmacies in Ireland to 72 extends the German group’s presence in urban and rural areas.
