The education department has spent more than €300,000 on an unfinished inquiry into the alleged mismanagement of a second-level school.

The education department has spent more than €300,000 on an unfinished inquiry into the alleged mismanagement of a second-level school.

The high-level inquiry into claims of bullying and mismanagement at Kilkenny Vocational School was launched in 2006.

An interim report into the allegations against the school principal Cathy McSorley has now been submitted to the Attorney General’s office for legal advice, according to a spokesman for the Department of Education & Skills.
