Unemployment rises in the north

Northern Ireland’s third quarter seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 7.3 per cent in October, up from 7 per cent in the same month last year.

Northern Ireland’s third quarter seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 7.3 per cent in October, up from 7 per cent in the same month last year.

The figures from the Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment showed that the number of people claiming unemployment benefit in October rose 0.2 per cent to 60,700.
