Ulster Bank has signed a deal worth more than €1 million over the next three years to be title sponsor and provide promotional support for the Dublin Theatre Festival, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

Ulster Bank has signed a deal worth more than €1 million over the next three years to be title sponsor and provide promotional support for the Dublin Theatre Festival, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

The bank said the move signalled serious interest in performing arts and that it planned to engage with other events and build up a full portfolio.

For the festival, the deal represents a significant boost.
